The CBC wanted to know what I thought about COVID

…and I told them, food-systems-wise, that the pandemic isn’t the problem: the food system is the problem.

Radio interviews are strange, especially if they’re live: both you and the host are looking to poke the conversation in the right direction, like a fish landed onto a dock that you’re desperately twigging toward the water. Sometimes it stays there, sometimes it flops, and sometimes—just sometimes—it saltos and bounces and makes one perfect dive.
