The city is alive, the city is expanding; living in the city can be demanding. How is food understood in municipal planning, especially as climate change impacts cities across Canada? What role do food systems play in successful adaptation? Will the world bring forth resilient urban-rural links, or are we doomed to a bunch of inner city fresh herbs?

This project was the focus of my postdoctoral fellowship at Dr. Graham Macdonald’s Global Land and Food Lab, within McGill University.
